WORSHIP
Music & Choirs

Music is a vital expression of our faith and a central part of our worship life.

Our choirs, ensembles, and worship teams span generations and musical styles—from classical and choral traditions to contemporary praise and seasonal sign language offerings. Whether through voice, instrument, or technical skill, our members lead with both joy and dedication each week.

Chancel Choir
Rehearses Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm
High school age and up!
We share the love of God and his promise of salvation through a wide variety of music that spans centuries, cultures and styles.
Harmonious Flutes
Rehearses Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm
High school age and up!
A special choir for flute instrumentalists who desire to serve God through music. It is intergenerational and fun! You must own your own flute. Good, basic technique needed for this group.
Alleluia Ringers
Rehearses Tuesdays @ 7:30 pm
We have openings for ringers with experience.
The GBPC handbell choir rings 5 octaves of Schulmerich handbells and chimes regularly in worship. Music reading and a commitment to service is a must. This is an intergenerational group.
Contemporary Worship Team
Love contemporary worship music? We’d love to have you on the team! Our 11:00 service is led by a dedicated group of instrumentalists and vocalists who rehearse on Thursdays at 5:30 PM. We’re always open to new singers, guitarists, drummers, and other musicians who want to help lead worship in a vibrant and engaging way.
Youth Worship Team
Our Youth Worship Team is growing every week! Rehearsals take place on Sundays at 12:00 PM, immediately following the Contemporary Worship Service and Youth Impact. This team is open to youth who are interested in singing or playing an instrument in worship. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, there's a place for you to grow and serve through music.
KIDS SING
Sundays, 10:30 am—11:00 am, Rm 200, for Preschool children, age 3, through grade 5. Directed by Hannah Passmore, Carla Sauers and Tonya Pittman.

Sign Language
Seasonal
Offering worshipful interpretations of music and scripture.
Audio-Visual Technicians
The eyes and ears of worship. We have a need for livestream media operators, sound technicians, and media operators.
Great Bridge Presbyterian Candlelight Concert Series
Our Candlelight Concert series was inaugurated on September 24, 2000, after the church received a generous grant from the Edwin K. Sloane Fund of the Norfolk Foundation, now the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, for the purchase of a Steinway grand piano, model B.
Honoring the legacy of Mr. Sloane, the instrument is used in a variety of cultural events and concerts, including piano recitals, choral and instrumental ensembles and in worship services. We open our doors to the Hampton Roads community providing an eclectic array of spiritually uplifting music presented by many of the area’s extraordinarily gifted musicians.
