Teaching the next generation to love God and serve others.

At Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, we nurture a love for God in the hearts of children through meaningful learning, fun experiences, and opportunities to serve. Our hope is that every time a child is at church, they have an opportunity to encounter God and know that they are a Child of God.

Sundays

Nursery Care

Offered during 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM services
For infants through age 2

Your little ones are precious to you – they are precious to us, also!

At Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, we take caring for your young children seriously. Our Nursery staff provide a safe and loving environment that introduces the love and grace of God through Bible stories and age-appropriate activities. Our paid staff and volunteers are background checked.

Children's Sunday School

Offered during 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM services

There is a PK5-1st grade class and 2nd-5th grade class

Children Sunday school classes share the story of God’s love through age-appropriate Bible stories, lessons, crafts, and activities, offered while parents are in worship.

Preschool Sunday School

Offered during the 9:30 AM Worship Service
For children ages 3 to 4

Our youngest children will learn about God's love and grace through Bible stories, activities, and fun. Lead by Miss Meadow Schmitt, all preschoolers are welcome to join Miss Meadow for a joy-filled morning!

KIDS SING

Rehearses Sundays from 10:30–11:00 AM in Room 200
Preschool through 3rd grade

Children are invited to join our KIDS SING choir. Children sing regularly in Family Worship on the first Sunday of each month.

Junior Choir

Rehearses Sundays @ 10:30 - 11 am in the Choir Suite
Grades 4 - 7

A choir for our intermediate & middle school aged students, co-led by Taylor Mercier and Brad Boyette. Choir members will have the opportunity to regularly participate in Worship.

KidCheck offers safety and security to parents and staff alike.

KidCheck is designed to make Sunday School drop-off & pickup intuitive and efficient. Our check-in station is in the Narthex where a volunteer will assist you in the check in process and guide you through its safety and security features before you enter for worship. Learn more about KidCheck

During the Week

Family Connect Night

We meet once a month on Sundays from 4:00 – 6:00 pm September - May. All families with children age 5 through fifth grade are invited to participate in the program. It is a unique time to unplug, share a meal, enjoy fun activities, hear guest speakers, and to connect with God and with one another.

Communion & Worship Preparation

Children (2nd grade and older) and an adult family member are invited to join us each February for a 4-week class on Communion – one of our two PC(USA) sacraments. Together, we will explore what this sacred meal means, why we celebrate it in community, and how God nourishes us at the Lord’s Table to go out and share God’s love, grace, and abundance with the world.

We build strong families through seasonal events, creative activities, and service opportunities:

Thanksgiving Meals: Assembling bags of food with everything to make Thanksgiving dinner for families in need

Compassion International: Sunday School classes sponsor Kristel, a 13-year-old girl in Ecuador, through prayer, letters, and donations
