Great Bridge Presbyterian Church  is a dynamic and diverse congregation in the Great Bridge neighborhood of Chesapeake, VA. Our mission tagline is “sharing Christ’s love, equipping God’s people,” and our vision is to share Christ’s love in our church, community, country and around the world. We have approximately 1200 members, with three worship services in both the contemporary and traditional style, a growing preschool, a small group ministry involving 450 people, and a service & mission program that has 35 mission partners. We are seeking the following positions, and are accepting inquiries through March 31, 2017:

Service & Mission Coordinator
GBPC is actively engaged in service and mission projects in our community, country and around the world. We support our mission partners both financially and with direct hands-on support. Each year we send out 5-6 mission teams comprised of youth and adults on both national and international trips. We also support many mission efforts initiated by members of our own congregation. We are seeking an individual to coordinate this important ministry. Needed skills and gifts include administration, communication, compassion, and passion for Jesus Christ and for people in need. The position is part-time, salaried, 20 hours a week. Send inquiries and resumes to Karen Gibson, kareng@gbpres.org.

Small Group Coordinator
GBPC sees the small group ministry as our primary disciple-making process. Small groups are shaped around the concepts of “Word,” “Share,” “Prayer” and “Serve.” The small group coordinator has the responsibilities of recruiting, training and supporting small group leaders, resourcing small groups, communicating about small group opportunities to the congregation through written, oral and visual means, as well as by using special events as a launching pad for small group participation. Needed skills and gifts include administration, communication, passion for own and others’ spiritual growth, ability to evaluate and recommend resources, and good listening skills. The position is part-time, salaried, 20 hours a week. Send inquiries and resumes to Kristie Matheson, kristiem@gbpres.org.

Audio and Worship Technologies Specialist
GBPC is a church with vibrant and diverse worship services and events. The goal for the audio and worship technologies ministry is to support the presentation and ensure that services and events are able to utilize technology efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending. The purpose of the audio and worship technologies specialist is to support the mission of Great Bridge Presbyterian Church by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of worship with primary responsibility for audio, and to provide strategic visioning for the implementation of additional worship technologies in the areas of audio, video, and lighting. The ideal candidate is one with a minimum of two years’ live audio engineering experience, having experience with digital sound board/technologies and computers, creative skills in media presentation, and strategic planning for needed future technologies. Needed skills and gifts include a passion for worship, ability to work in team settings, communication, and the capacity to trouble-shoot. The position is part-time, salaried, 25 hours a week. Send inquiries and resumes to Charity Stephens, gbpcworshiptechnologies@gmail.com.
