Four-Week Summer Small Group Experiences! Three great options on Wednesday Nights! 6:30 pm—7:45 pm

Gilligan’s Island: This series is designed to offer practical help from several experts about how to live a more ordered life.

Did you know that the creator of Gilligan’s Island said he based the seven Castaways on the Seven Deadly Sins? To quote the Professor in Rescue from Gilligan’s Island: “Judging by our various experiences, we’ve had lessons in Lust, Greed, Envy, Sloth, Anger, Gluttony and Pride. The same Seven Deadly Sins that have always plagued mankind!” In this video-based Bible study, you’ll see how Gilligan is Sloth, the Skipper is Anger, the Professor is Pride, Ginger is Lust, Mary Ann is Envy, Mr. Howell is Greed and Lovey Howell is Gluttony! Don’t get stranded!  Facilitated by Laura Bowser and Dawn Bell

The Psalms

The book of Psalms expresses worship. Throughout its many pages, Psalms encourages its readers to praise God for who He is and what He has done. The Psalms illuminate the greatness of our God, affirm His faithfulness to us in times of trouble, and remind us of the absolute centrality of His Word. As the Psalms present a clear picture of God lovingly guiding His people, the responses of praise and worship to God are never far from the psalmists’ pens. The portrayal of worship in the Psalms offers us glimpse after glimpse of hearts devoted to God, individuals repentant before Him, and lives changed through encounters with Him.  Facilitated by Steven Bowser and Ralph Herbert

Parenting

“Start with the Heart: How to Motivate Your Kids to Be Compassionate, Responsible, and Brave (Even When You’re Not Around),” by Kathy Koch, PhD.  Feel stuck fighting the same battles with kids who seem totally unmotivated to change?  The truth: Every child is motivated; you just need to learn how to unlock your child’s unique heart.  During this Turbo Group we will learn practical, manageable strategies for motivating kids toward healthy life habits including how to:  respond to consistent complaining, address beliefs that affect behavior, decrease fear of hard work, teach your kids to know themselves, and create change that lasts long-term.  Each week we will listen to some of Dr. Koch’s teaching and discuss how to implement her strategies. Facilitatec by Ray and Heather Nairn

THE MISSION of Great Bridge Presbyterian Church is to share the love of God and His promise of salvation with all people, equipping them to mature in Jesus Christ. Our vision focuses on the first three words of this tagline, “sharing Christ’s love.” The vision of GBPC is to share Christ’s love through one million touches in our church, our community, our country, and throughout the world. The vision statement is patterned after Jesus’ command to His disciples in Acts 1:8, that empowered by the Holy Spirit they should be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. In order to “equip God’s people,” we provide multiple ways for people to Worship, Grow and Serve–see where YOU connect!
