Pastor Donna lives with her husband, Clark DeSarro-Raynal, and their children, Josiah, Eli, and India, in Newport News. Her husband is also a pastor; he serves at Hilton Presbyterian Church in the Hilton Village neighborhood. Josiah is a senior in college this year, Eli a sophomore, and India is a senior in high school. They’ve lived here 10 years, as Clark was called to the church in 2014.
Pastor Donna has strong roots in this area, having grown up in Virginia Beach. She also earned her B.A. in Religion from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, her M.Div from Union Presbyterian Seminary, PC(USA), in Richmond, VA, her Masters of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, PC(USA), in Princeton, NJ and her Ph.D. in Biblical Studies again from Union. She brings with her great leadership experience which includes past pastorates, including interim work; teaching as a professor in higher education; and campus ministry service.
