Life Groups

The goal of joining a group is to grow in your walk with Jesus around people that can support you in taking your next steps. We believe life is better when you live in community. There are Group options available for all ages and walks of life. We want to help you find the best fit .  At GBPC we encourage everyone to be a part of a Life Group. If you are looking for a way to meet people, study God’s word, form friendships with other believers and serve others in need, then get involved in a Life Group. Groups meet day & evening, every day of the week, at various times. Offerings are available for men, women, couples, and seniors. Stop by the Wall of Information located in the adult Sunday School hallway for detailed info. on each group.

Our Life Group Coordinator, Laura Bowser, (Office located in Room 220, Adult Sunday School hallway) is available to serve, support and encourage Life Group leaders, members and group activities. New Life Groups are launched three times each year (January, May, & September) but many groups’ welcome new members year round. Check out the WALL OF INFORMATION, located in the Adult Sunday School Hallway between Rooms 220 & 240. Each Life Group is listed, described, and organized by meeting day of the week.

More Turbo Groups:

Change a generation with something as simple as an invitation.

For many of us, inviting people into our lives and homes feels more like inviting judgment on our entertaining skills and stress on our already maxed-out schedules. But what if you knew that opening your front door had the power to radically change the world? To make an impact and leave a legacy with everyday invitations?

Jen Schmidt has set out to reframe how we think about hospitality and to equip us to walk a road of welcome in our daily lives. Jen knows that every time we choose open-door living—whether in our homes or by taking hospitality on the road just like Jesus—those we invite in get to experience the lived-out Gospel, our kids grow up in a life-lab of generosity, and we trade insecurity for connection.

Facilitated by Cindy Bitterman, starting Wednesday, June 27th at 9:30 am.

Bible Study just for Moms!

Join Becky Miles and Stacey Michalak in a summer morning turbo group Bible study.  It’s a perfect time to get to know other preschool moms in a deeper more meaningful way, to develop friendships and grow in your relationship with the Lord.

Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00.  May 31, June 7, June 14, June 21, and June 28.

We will be discussing the 5 Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell.  It will be an easy, fun study to help learn how to build a strong relationship with your child.  By learning your child’s love language, you will be more effective in assisting your child’s learning.  You will also be able to use strategies to correct and discipline that fit your child.  The positive, encouraging focus of the book will be a delight to share and discuss!

If you cannot make it to every session, you are more than welcome to attend the ones that you can! RSVP to Becky at preschool@gbpres.org or Stacey at staceym@gbpres.org so that we can plan for childcare.
