  • Write down final wishes for memorial service—who to notify out of town, songs, officiant, etc..
  • Plan for costs connected with the service, obituary, etc.
  • Know what is permitted for a service in one’s faith tradition.

Choice 2: The Daniel Plan
Laura Bowser

The Daniel Plan is a healthy lifestyle program founded on biblical principles and focused on The Essentials: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. The  message of The Daniel Plan is about abundance, not deprivation, and this is why the plan is both transformational and sustainable. The Daniel Plan teaches a step-by-step approach and offers simple ways to incorporate healthy choices into your current lifestyle. Throughout the program you are encouraged to rely on God’s power, and the application of dependable biblical principles.

Choice 3: The Wonder of It All
Anita K. Herbert

The emotion of wonder may not be one we think of as important for our spiritual growth, and yet many are now discovering that experiences of wonder can deeply enrich and enhance our relationship with God.  Following along with the summer sermon series, this class will include both Bible study and experiences that will create an environment for us to wonder together.

Biblical stories will include:

  • Jacob’s vision of the ladder (Genesis 28:10-17)
  • Moses’ request to see God’s glory (Exodus 33:12-23)
  • Elijah’s experience of God in the silence at Mt. Horeb (1 Kings 19:11-14).

This is a three week class:  June 21, 28, July 5.  Participants in this class will help with my D.Min. final project.

Another Summer Turbo Option!

Meeting Wednesday mornings for six weeks,
beginning May 31st!

If you’ve ever forgotten to pick your kid up from soccer practice or accidentally worn two different shoes to the grocery store, this book is for you. Being a mother is not for those who display symptoms of the “Perfection Infection.” There is simply no such thing as a perfect mom. And there are no such things as perfect kids, perfect homes, perfect bodies, perfect marriages, or even perfect meals.

Monthly Bible Studies for WOMEN!

“Who is Jesus?  What a Difference a Lens Makes”written by Judy Yates Siker for Horizons Bible Study.  We will find answers to this question in the Four Gospels,  Paul, Hebrews and other early Christian writings.   We will also see how Christians from a variety of cultural perspectives answer this important question.
