Giving has always been a mark of Christian commitment and discipleship. The ways in which a believer uses God’s gifts of material goods, personal abilities, and time should reflect a faithful response to God’s self-giving in Jesus Christ and Christ’s call to minister to and share with others in the world. Tithing, which refers to the 10% that the people of God were encouraged to give to him in the Old Testament (see Leviticus 27:30), is a primary expression of the Christian discipline of stewardship. This is still a useful standard to which Christians should aspire. At the very least, we encourage members to commit a percentage of income to the work of the Lord through this church. Currently, there are two ways to give to the ministries and missions of GBPC:
Envelopes–If you would like to receive envelopes, please contact Financial Secretary Bradley Simpson
Automatic draft—If you would like your giving deducted automatically from your bank account, please contact Treasurer Debbie Acors. Other on-line options are in the works and are coming soon! ACH Authorization Form
2017 Goal Our goal for the 2017 Stewardship Challenge is 222 pledges for a total of $1,000,000. In addition, we continue to rely on non-pledged offerings to meet our annual operating budget. We ask that you and your family begin to pray about your pledge for next year as we continue to support the Mission and Vision of GBPC through our annual budget. We give to share the love of God and His promise of salvation with all people, equipping them to mature in Jesus Christ
GBPC maintains a separate building fund to cover building and grounds needs, such as renovating the playground of maintaining or replacing items throughout the building. Building fund envelopes are available in the pew racks.
